White Fox Fur
Keep your white fox fur looking white.

White fox fur coats are a beautiful way to add elegance and sophistication to any outfit. There’s something so exquisite about the color white. The one problem these coats pose, however, is keeping the stark white color clean. Anything white is difficult to manage its cleanliness, but fur is even more difficult. Of course, the obvious way to keep it looking beautiful is to not get any stains on it in the first place, but since that is impractical, there are various methods to use to keep it clean.

Removing Debris

It might seem as if your fur coat attracts the smallest debris imaginable. If you are constantly trying to pick off small items, such as sticks or leaves, from your outerwear, you could end up depleting the pelt of its luxurious fur. Rather than using your fingers, find a pair of fine tweezers to gently pick out the debris without harming the surface or spreading the dirt and causing stains.

The Proper Drying Method

The normal instinct anyone has when something gets wet is to immediately dab or wipe it up. This should be avoided if your fur gets wet. Rather than dabbing or wiping, simply hang it up on a hanger and suspend it on its own to allow it to naturally dry. Any type of rubbing motion could cause the fur to become matted. Even worse, it could cause moisture to become trapped in the jacket, resulting in a moldy coat.

Stains

Fur coats that have stains are difficult to get clean. Oil, liquids and any dirt can leave unsightly stains, especially on white. If you have stains on your coat, take it to a professional furrier as soon as possible. Not only do they have special methods to remove the stains, they also have ways to glaze the top layer to bring its shine back, allowing your item to look brand new once again.

Keep It Fresh

When fur coats sit in a closet for a long period of time, it might get an old, musty smell. In order to avoid this, you could place a box of baking soda in the closet to eliminate any odors. Typically, you only need to do this when you notice the smell; however, you can keep a box in there at all times to ensure your white fur coat stays white.
